The Oaks Treatment Center is proud to have partnered with the Jason Foundation Inc (JFI) to educate our society about preventing suicides among our youth. The Oaks’ Jason Foundation office provides a helpline as well as free educational seminars to teachers, parents, and students in and around Austin.
Suicide IS preventable. Awareness and education are the key ingredients to prevent the “Silent Epidemic” of youth suicide. It is silent because the world does not hear that Youth Suicide (among 15-24 year olds) is the 3rd leading cause of death.
